  • Teamsters Local 31, the union representing our support staff (not teachers), voted in favour of a strike mandate on October 26, 2026.
  • No job action has been announced at this time. Schools remain open and operating as usual.

BYOD forms

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Digital Citizenship

At ASIA Sumas Mountain, we recognize that technology is an important tool for learning, creativity, communication, and collaboration. While students are not required to bring a personal device to school, secondary students who feel they would benefit from having a device for learning are encouraged to bring their own laptop or tablet for educational use. We have found that middle school students do not need the device in class unless there are specific students who require it for learning.
