Prepare for Success!

All students will be assigned a locker AND a lock. Middle school students will also receive their own school agenda.

To make sure personal items do not go missing, please label all items for easy return.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SUPPLIES

PE strip (ALL PIECES LABELED WITH NAME)

  • shorts 
  • t-shirt 
  • Indoor running shoes with: ankle support, torsional rigidity, cushioning AND
  • Outdoor supportive running shoes (these can be old ones)
  • deodorant (non-spray)
  • lock for change room locker (for locking up clothes/supplies during PE class) 
  • Labeled​ bag to keep all gear in

DANCE CLASS​ - comfortable clothing, NO DENIM.​ Give thought to days of dance class, wear leggings, sweat pants, shorts, etc. Students may also change into their PE Strip for Dance.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

  • 2” zippered binder with dividers LABEL WITH NAME
  • 8 binder dividers (minimum)
  • 1 x Coiled notebook (suggested number 2 for grade 6 only)
  • loose leaf paper (suggested amount for the year – 600 sheets) DO NOT PUT ALL PAPER INTO BINDER, ONLY 40 SHEETS AT A TIME PLEASE! Rest will be stored in locker.
  • headphones – 1/8th jack (for computers)
  • 36 (at least) x HB pencils
  • pencil sharpener with cover
  • white erasers (suggested number 3)
  • scientific calculator (a must)​ (labeled with student’s name)
  • blue or black pens (suggested number 6)
  • red pens (suggested number 4)
  • whiteboard markers (suggested number 5)
  • 3 highlighters (different colors)
  • large scissors
  • glue sticks (suggested number – 3 large)
  • black ultra fine line markers (suggested number – 4)
  • soft pencil case large enough to hold at one time: 3 pencils, pencil sharpener, 1 eraser, calculator,1 blue/black pen, 1 red pen, 1 whiteboard marker, 1 highlighter, scissors, 1 glue stick, 1 fine line marker LABEL CASE WITH NAME - LABEL ITEMS WITH NAME OR INITIALS
  • 30 cm ruler (with metric AND imperial)
  • white liquid glue
  • A shoebox or plastic box to hold all extra supplies not in pencil case. This can be left in their locker and available to restock their pencil case when needed.
  • 8 ½ x 11 coil bound sketch book (students should continue to use the sketch book they have from the previous year)
  • pencil crayons ( 24 colors – recommended brand: Prisma) AND/OR ​felt pens (12 colours)
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 paper blending stump for art (grade 6 only)
  • Geometry set with protractor & compass (grade 7 & 8 only)

SUGGESTED SECONDARY SCHOOL SUPPLIES

SCHOOL SUPPLIES **Please note that some supplies in secondary courses are course-specific.  These needed supplies will be communicated to students at the beginning of each course in class.

  • A zippered binder (some might find it easier to have 2) with Lined paper and Dividers
  • A pencil case with
    • Blue/black pens
    • Red pens
    • Whiteout/correction tape
    • Highlighters of different colours 
    • White erasers
    • HB Pencils
    • Pencil sharpener with cover
    • Black ultra fine-line permanent pen
  • Coloured felts Pencil crayons (best brand - Prisma Colour) AND/OR felt pens
  • Math Students must ALL have a scientific calculator 
  • 30 cm ruler (with metric AND imperial)
  • Glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • USB storage device (min. 4G)

  • Agenda/Planner (optional) Homework and info will be available online

  • Headphones – 1/8th jack (for computers)

  • 8 ½ x 11 bound sketchbook – 100 sheets (students should continue to use the sketch book they have from the previous year)
